The Zone – Climbing with Parkinson’s

Legendary climber Rob Wood was diagnosed in June 2016 with Parkinson’s Disease, and his symptoms have gotten worse and worse. The only thing that is successful in keeping his PD symptoms at bay, is a certain practice/exercise that he calls grounding himself and being in the Zone.

This feature documentary film, “The Zone,” will follow Rob Wood from his home on Maurelle Island to Mount Van Der Est: the mountain he never thought he would climb again. Along with some of Canada’s amazing mountaineers, Rob shares his journey with us as he attempts to pull off one last climb while dealing with Parkinson’s Disease, among other health issues.
