MORGANIC HANGBOARD ($75)
The Hangboard flaunts positive grips, but there’s a dearth of variety. The deep finger slots grip much like the top jugs, which grip much like the center jug. A good one-pad rail and the best pinch grip of any board are this puppy’s saving graces. Three sets of pockets work well for petite fingers, but alas are squeeze jobs for mature “dali lagers”—the late, great Jack Mileski’s term for gnarled, swollen Jimmy Dean sausage digits. Even with a full psyche and weight off, everyone concluded that not even Fred Nicole could hang this board’s sloper … on his best day.
BEEFS: Pockets are too tight.
BEST FOR: Endurance training.
IF ONLY IT HAD: A viable sloper.
