Big Stone Publishing is accepting applications for Retail Sales Manager and Event Coordinator. The position includes organizing marketing efforts for climbing and running events, and managing the magazines’ retail distribution. The position is full time in spectacular Carbondale, Colorado.


Duties & Responsibilities


•       Manage and facilitate the output of all titles BSP publishes on a strict deadline

•       Coordinate and work within a small team to manage records, orders, invoicing

•      Proactive sales efforts targeting retail, distribution and events

•       Assess and adjust shipping methods and quantities for each publication

•       Manage the client-facing aspects of retail accounts and events

•       Develop and plan marketing campaigns

•       Solicit retail accounts and events with BSP’s latest offerings

•       Identify and input new retailers in the database

•       Coordinate time-sensitive shipment windows and order allotment

•       Timely communications with all clients

•       Work through the back-end of the website to provide support for clients




•       Highly organized

•       Able to multi-task between projects

•       Team focused

•       Bachelor’s in business management, marketing, journalism or related field

•       Climber or runner is preferred

•       Demonstrable sales experience
