American climber Jimmy Webb just flashed Roses and Blue Jays, a V13 boulder problem in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, according to his 8a.nu scorecard. “The most spectacular boulder,” Webb says on 8a.nu. “Freak good conditions today and I was able to climb the boulder perfectly making not a single mistake. A dream come true.”

Roses and Blue Jays has seen roughly a dozen other ascents, including one in 2006 by Paul Robinson, who got it third go. Webb’s ascent may very well be the first flash of the problem (if another climber out there wants to claim the first flash ascent, please feel free to post in the comment section).
