Footage of Ueli Steck’s Annapurna Solo

By Rock and Ice | October 16th, 2013

On October 10, Ueli Steck sent a text message to his sponsors that shocked the alpine climbing world. “Summit, alone, South Face.” Steck had soloed the South Face of the notoriously difficult Annapurna I–the least summited 8,000-meter peak in the world. Details of Steck’s feat have emerged, and this video is out featuring footage from the solo. Enjoy!
